The secretariat team supports the co-chairs and members in their efforts to advance the objectives of the Powering Past Coal Alliance.

The secretariat team supports co-chairs Canada and the UK through the administration and management of PPCA activities, events, and communications. This includes supporting PPCA relations with members and developing external partnerships.

  • Communications Manager, Anna Drazkiewicz has over a decade's experience in promoting action to tackle climate change and the shift to a zero-carbon economy. Prior to joining the PPCA secretariat, Anna worked for Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe, leading communications efforts on International Climate Negotiations and EU policies, including the impact of pollution from coal power generation on human health. Anna is based in Brussels, Belgium. Email Anna
  • Programme Advisor, Chris Radojewski joined the PPCA secretariat team in February 2021 to deepen the Alliance's cooperation with sub-national members. Chris has significant experience working in intergovernmental and international relations across a variety of areas including trade, energy, and climate change. From 2016-2019, Chris worked for the Province of Alberta’s Washington DC Office, engaging extensively with subnational governments. Most recently, he worked on the development of Alberta’s revised investment attraction strategy. Chris is based in London, UK. Email Chris

For the period 2019-21 the secretariat is funded by parallel grants from Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy, UK.
